In modern times, unfortunately for many, the importance of healthy eating is not acknowledged. Nutrients in various foods assist in our growth, our repair and recovery, our brain function and ability to withstand viruses, bacteria and illness.  In spite of this, our food consumption is extremely lacking in food that is fortified with nutrients, amongst both rich and poor populations around the world, and the reason for this is that our common knowledge of nutrition - our medicine, is limited.

What we think are healthy choices may not be...

Ironically, in a time of plenty, when our supermarkets are full of food and our high streets are saturated with small food businesses, we are getting sicker and sicker, riddled with illness and disease, because even when we believe that we are making the right choices unfortunately we are not. This is owed to the lack of food rich in nutrients on offer. This combined with a lack of knowledge of food make for a catastrophic outcome and that is poor health and illness. Having a sufficient comprehension of nutrition is fundamental to our health and existence and yet nutrition is not in our education system. Maybe some rather it wasn’t, because if we knew and understood the implications that some foods that are served on our table have on our health, we would undoubtably reject them and this would reduce the vast profits that result from some of the unhealthiest practices within the food industry.



What implications can an unhealthy diet have?

What we ingest is closely linked with a host of physical and mental factors including our daily energy levels, productivity, attention span, sports performance, injury offset and recovery time, maintenance and increase of muscle and strength, and diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and dementia. 

How we can help

Our nutrition coaching not only serves to supplement sports performance but also to improve health. Through our nutritional guidance program expect the reduction of inflammation and acidity in the body, an improved endocrine system, improved gut health, improved blood sugar and blood fat levels, improved blood pressure, increased energy levels, reduced stress and anxiety and improved sleep, the slow down of bone loss and muscle, increased mobility, the reduction of body fat and dangerous visceral fat. Furthermore, a significant reduction in the chances of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and dementia. 

To get rid of many of our modern ailments and diseases we must stop modern diets in order to revitalise our suppressed immune system. For many of us this means improving our ratio between omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, by reducing our omega 6 consumption and increasing our omega 3, increasing our quality protein consumption, mineral, vitamin and antioxidant and reducing the consumption of catastrophic vegetable oils, hydrogenated fats, sugar and inflammatory grains.

how to seek real, nutrient dense food, as close to its natural state as possible: whole, unprocessed, unrefined and unmodified. Food that has always been food, food that can be hunted or gathered. Food from wild animals and properly raised and nourished animals, free of antibiotics and chemicals. Plants rich in healthy fats and superfoods like fermented vegetables and homemade bone broths. 
Ultimately food that will revitalise the suppressed immune system to fight off threat, illness and disease. 
Equally, we teach our clients to identify and avoid foods that are taxing, cause inflammation and stress to the body. Foods that leave us depleted, weak, vulnerable and susceptible to illness.
